On July 25, Belarusian president Alyaksandr Lukashenka is paying a working visit to Vetka district take stock of the social and economic development of the region.
According to the head of state, a development strategy for the Belarusian agricultural machinery company Gomselmash should be worked out soon.
Moreover, inspecting the poultry farm of the Belorusneft-Osobino company, he ordered to take the problem of livestock loss under strict control.
“I say it again: the government will be held responsible for livestock loss. Some 85,000 heads, I think, was lost last year. Can you imagine how much meat that would be,” the presidential press service quotes Lukashenka.
He instructed the General Prosecutor’s Office to keep a close eye on the issue.
“This is unacceptable. Poor-quality fodder or other excuses. This is sheer complacency. Sort this out,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
In late March, Alyaksandr Lukashenka blasted the workers of the Slizhy dairy farm for poor livestock management calling the enterprise ‘Auschwitz for cows’.
