On June 22, Alyaksandr Lukashenka accused Western countries of allocating huge financial resources for ‘colour blitzkrieg’ and using hybrid warfare technologies against Belarus.

On the back of Tuesday’s meeting, the leaders of the United States and European Union member countries issued a joint statement Towards A Renewed Transatlantic Partnership. Among other things, it touches upon the situation in Belarus.

Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makey has told the Russian Kommersant about the incident with the plane, confrontation with the West, and integration with Russia.

The United States is seeking to take a closer look on the situation in Belarus, Christopher Socha, Staff Director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee of the US Congress, said during his visit to Minsk.
