Two people infected with coronavirus found on Minsk-Nur-Sultan flight

The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan has reported five new cases of COVID-19 infection. Two of the five cases flew in from Minsk.

The Flight 0324 from Minsk did not land in Nur-Sultan, as planned, but in Karaganda. Two passengers who were on board had the coronavirus. They were citizens born in 1971 and 1972, reports NUR.KZ. Kazinform, in turn, writes about citizens born in 1981 and 1972.

The decision not to let the plane land in Nur-Sultan was made by Kazakhstani authorities. The airplane landed in Karaganda at 4 am on March 18.

There were a total of 67 passengers aboard the plane, flying from Minsk. All of them are now under quarantine.

TUT.BY reports, citing the Belarusian embassy, that there were no Belarusian citizens on the plane.
