Second police report for 'dislike' in OK.ru

On the evening of December 12, police officers with witnesses came to the house of Andrei Yurkou, an activist from Drybin. They did not seize anything or conduct a search, but it was the second time that Andrei had a protocol drawn on him over the offence under Part 2, Article 17:11 – allegedly for distribution of Nazi symbols. Andrei disagrees with the accusation.

On 26 September Andrei Yurkou put a ‘dislike’ under the post in “Odnoklassniki” where German and Soviet regimes were compared. The image of the Nazi Germany flag was attached to the post. This post ended up in Andrei’s feed, which was the basis for the accusation.

An administrative case was brought against Andrei Yurkou for a ‘dislike’ on the Odnoklassniki social network back in November. On December 13th , a court hearing was to be held on this case. However, the judge of Dryba District Court returned the case back to Dryba District Department of Internal Affairs for corrections. The first protocol did not mention the means by which the information was disseminated, but in fact there was no inspection of the crime scene.

And on December 12th, the police came to work on their mistakes.

“They came with my neighbors as witnesses to inspect my computer. They took pictures of everything, copied the names and numbers. They didn’t ask me to turn on anything, they just made an inspection of the crime scene. I was given a copy of the report and told to wait. I think that they will take the case to court, what else can they do” Andrei Yurkou said.

Andrei Yurkov is a former candidate for Horki constituency #82.
