Resolution on sanctions against Boris Nemtsov killers introduced in US Congress

Democrat Eliot Engel, head of the foreign affairs committee of the US House of Representatives, and Republican Senator Michael McCall have introduced a resolution on sanctions against the people involved in the murder of Boris Nemtsov.

The authors of the resolution called on the White House to conduct an international investigation into the murder. The congressmen also condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin for concealing the details of the crime.

The resolution was introduced on the fourth anniversary of Boris Nemtsov’s murder. The document has no legal force and is a recommendation.
