The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has come up with the initiative to increase the stay of foreign citizens in Belarus without registration at the internal affairs bodies for up to 30 days. At present, the duration of this period is only 5 days.
“We have been and will be in favor of extending the stay of foreigners in Belarus without registration for up to 30 days. This is the problem, discussed by everyone: you can stay without registration for 5 days. We will try to move it to at least 15 days,” said the deputy head of the main consular department, Alyaksandr Hanevich.
Earlier, a similar initiative was launched by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The police suggested that the stay of foreigners without registration be extended to 10 days, noting that in the future this registration can be canceled altogether.
