New Deputy PM in charge of petrochemicals

Alyaksandr Lukashenka has appointed former head of Bellesbumpram Yury Nazarau Deputy Prime Minister, BelTA informs.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka notes that he instructed the head of presidential administration to discuss this issue with Yury Nazarau in advance.

“He reported to me yesterday about your conversation and the issues that concern you in this regard,” said the head of state during a conversation with the new Deputy Prime Minister, BelTA quoted.

In his new position, Nazarau will oversee the development of the petrochemical complex.

Prior to Nazarau’s appointment, oil issues in the government were the responsibility of Ihar Lyashenka. On March 3, Alyaksandr Lukashenka dismissed Liashenka from the post of Deputy Prime Minister “in connection with the transition to another job”.

Yury Nazarau was born in 1962 in Horki, Mahiliou region. He worked in the Ministry of Forestry and was Deputy Head of Presidential Affairs from 2010 to 2013. In December 2013, he headed the Bellesbumpram concern.
