Belarusian air power and air defense troops are expected to stage exercises on information exchange with Polish air forces on March 25, Belarus’ unofficial Freedom Day.
The two countries’ military will rehearse joint actions in the event of incidents in the airspace and aircraft piracy acts, the Belarusian Defense Ministry reports.
The exercise is part of the preparation for two high-profile events: the 2021 IIHF World Championship in 2021 which is to be hosted by Belarus and Latvia, and the 2023 European Games that will take place in Krakow, Poland.
