Heads of Armenian law enforcement agencies sacked


The Armenian President Armen Sargsyan has signed a decree on dismissal of the heads of the National Security Service (SNB) and the police, the press service of the head of state reports.

In his Facebook Pashinyan wrote that he sent a proposal to the president to dismiss the heads of the police and the National Security Service. According to the Armenian legislation, these structures take orders from the premiere.

Nikol Pashinyan was elected Prime Minister on May 8 after national mass protests. Fifty-nine deputies voted for him, while 42 voted against.
