Belarus public debt up 8.1% in 2018

As of December 1, 2018, the public debt of Belarus amounted to 45.6 billion BYN, the press service of the Ministry of Finance reports.

During the 11 months of 2018, the national debt increased by 3.4 billion BYN, or 8.1%.

External debt as of December 1, 2018 was $ 16.8 billion, (up 0.4%).

The state debt servicing in 2008 cost 2.5 billion BYN, which is 25.2% more than in 2017. In 2019, these costs will increase to 3 billion BYN.
