On December 17, another death sentence was carried out in Belarus. Alyaksandr Asipovich, a resident of Babruisk, who had murdered two girls, was executed by shooting, Commercial Courier reports.

The death sentence was passed by Mahiliou voblast court. The 36-year-old resident of Babruisk, Alyaksandr Asipovich, was sentenced to the capital punishment for the murder of two girls — 26-year-old Krystsina Krushkina and 27-year-old Alesya Klimava.

The criminal killed the girls last July in his mother’s apartment in Babruisk. Asipovich killed of the girls by stabbing her 16 times and murdered the other with a hammer. The experts have counted 77 blows.

The murderer’s petitions to the Supreme Court and the leader of the country were not granted.

A total of three death sentences have been carried out in our country this year. Two more, which were carried out in autumn, are awaiting execution.

In Europe, Belarus remains the only country that still has no moratorium on the death penalty. In the past 20 years, over 400 people have been executed in Belarus.
