All funds collected at the charity auction, which amounted to €8 thousand, after paying taxes, will go to political prisoners in Belarus and their families.

“The support from artists and art connoisseurs is a symbol that the regime’s crimes are not forgotten, and we sincerely care about courageous people of Belarus, our neighbors who are fighting for their freedom,” said Egle Ganda Bogdanienė, chairman of the Lithuanian Art Society during the auction.

Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya was one of the charity auction patrons. She noted that the Belarusians feel the support of the Lithuanians.

“Our spirits are high because we know we are not alone,” noted the Belarusian leader.
