The texts and statements by the imprisoned scholar Uladzimir Matskevich have been sent for examination to check them for ‘the signs of inciting racial, national, religious or other social hatred’, Telegram channel To Think Belarus reports.

Uladzimir Matskevich, who is being held in a one-man cell in Minsk pre-trial detention centre on Valadarski Street, has been listed as a person ‘prone to extremism’.

A charge has been filed against Uladzimir Matskevich, a prominent Belarusian philosopher, methodologist and scholar, human rights centre Viasna reports.

He is suspected of organizing “mass riots”
