At the beginning of 2021, there were 9,349,645 people in Belarus — 60,614 fewer than at the beginning of 2020, according to the Belstat agency.

Belstat has published the 2019 census report. According to these data, over 20 years the population of Belarus has decreased by almost 632 thousand people.

Just over 9.4 million people currently live in Belarus. The National Statistics Committee has released the first results of the census, BelTA informs.
