When studying the materials of the criminal case against opposition activist Maryia Kalesnikava, her defence lawyers came to the conclusion that the accusation did not comply with the law, the team of the imprisoned might-have-been presidential candidate Viktar Babaryka reports.

Last week, OMON riot police grabbed Alyaksandr, a delivery man at Menu.by, not far from Pushkinskaya metro station in Minsk.

On November 15, about 1,270 people were detained in Belarusian cities and towns (mainly in Minsk) for participating in the March of Brave People, human rights centre Viasna reports. The list is still being updated.

The journalist Anton Trafimovich was beaten by law enforcement officials during his arrest.

Human rights defenders also condemn the mass persecution of bloggers and journalists.

“There was an entire organization, all have been detained”.

Detentions took place in 19 cities across the country.
