On July 6, Lithuanian Charge d’Affaires in Belarus Asta Andrijauskiene was summoned to the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On June 4, the Council of the European Union decided to strengthen the existing restrictive measures in view of the situation in Belarus by introducing a ban on the overflight of EU airspace and on access to EU airports by Belarusian carriers of all kinds.

In the coming days, Latvian Ambassador to Belarus Einars Semanis is to leave Minsk for Riga; his Estonian counterpart Merike Kokajev is expected to arrive in Tallinn.
