ZENA to represent Belarus in tonight's semi-finals of Eurovision 2019

The first semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will be held on the evening of May 14 in Tel Aviv. The representative of Belarus, 16-year-old Zina Kupriyanavich, known under the creative pseudonym ZENA, will perform the song “Like It”.

Representatives of Cyprus, Montenegro, Finland, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia, Belgium, Georgia, Australia, Iceland, Estonia, Portugal, Greece and San Marino will also come on stage tonight.

The second semi-finals of the competition will be held on May 16. Representatives of Armenia, Ireland, Moldova, Switzerland, Latvia, Romania, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Croatia, Malta, Lithuania, Russia, Albania, Norway, the Netherlands, Macedonia and Azerbaijan will compete for the ticket to the final.

Competitors from Great Britain, Germany, Israel, Spain, Italy and France will also perform in the finals on May 18.

Before she turned 16 years old, Zina managed to become a laureate of the “Children’s New Wave”, work with Igor Krutoy, receive the first prize at the “Slavonic Bazaar in Vitsebsk” and win the “Young Talents of Belarus” competition.

In 2015 and 2016, she took part in the Junior Eurovision, reaching the final. She did perform on the stage of Junior Eurovisionm, becoming one of the competition’s hosts. The event was held in Minsk in 2018.

In 2017, Zina became a participant of the “New Star Factory” on the MuzTV channel, she took the third place on the show and began working with producer Viktor Drobysh. She also performed with Russian pop stars.
