Ukraine’s FM: Trilateral Contact Group to resume work in Minsk

The talks of the Trilateral Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbas will be resumed on June, 5, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin told Novoye Vremya.

According to him, president Volodymyr Zelensky is about to introduce a new team of negotiators. There will be both ‘old familiar faces’ and new people, Klimkin stressed.

Two weeks ago, the local media announced ‘resetting’ Minsk groups.

On May 24, the Ukrainian leader held his first meeting with the representatives of the Trilateral Contact Group. He was briefed on the process of negotiations and the current state of affairs.

Earlier, First Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko filed a letter of resignation from the posts of presidential commissioner on the peaceful settlement in Donbas and Ukraine’s representative in the humanitarian group.
