On October 18, London will host ‘I’m with The Banned’, a concert of solidarity with banned performing artists from the whole world and the people of Belarus.
I’m with the Banned is the flagship event in Belarus Free Theatre’s tenth anniversary celebrations, bringing together a unique line-up of musicians and performers to stand up for artistic freedom of expression and against injustice.
Pink Floyd frontman David Gilmour will perform with banned Belarusian musicians.
Russian punk activists Pussy Riot, punk-rockers Brutto, formed by Sergey Mikhalok, Ukrainian group Boombox will also take to the stage.
Friends of Belarus Free Theatre including Kim Cattrall, Neil Tennant and Juliet Stevenson will read extracts from BFT plays and testimonies live on the night.
The concert will be televised by Belsat TV; you can also watch it live on our website. It will be aired by BBC-3, Russian TV Dozhd and Ukraine’s Hromadske.tv
The concert is to start at 21:45 (Minsk time).
