Signed Tomos to be returned to Ukraine

Tomos on the autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine was signed by all members of the synod of the Constantinople Patriarchate. This was required by the procedure of the document registration, and now it has received its final form, according to the TSN.

All 12 members of the Holy Synod signed the document. Patriarch Bartholomew signed Tomos for Ukraine on January 5, and now the document has been finalized.

According to sources of TSN, the document will soon return to Ukraine. However, whether it will be put on display, or whether Tomos will be immediately hidden in the archives, is not yet known.

On January 5, Patriarch Bartholomew signed Tomos, who presented the independent status of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the creation of which was announced at the Uniting Council on December 15, 2018. The ROC did not recognize the decision to confer autocephaly and urged its believers not to pray in the churches of the Constantinople Patriarchate.
