Russian PM Medvedev unveils sanctions against Ukraine

Kremlin sanctions will affect hundreds of Ukrainians who caused “harm to Russia,” said Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

According to Medvedev, Moscow will blacklist businessmen, as well as other “famous people”. According to the Prime Minister of Russia, the sanctions provide for the freezing of their personal assets, their companies’ assets, as well as a ban on the withdrawal of funds from Russia. In addition, Moscow intends to further restrict the import of Ukrainian goods into Russia, RBC reports.

At the same time, ordinary Ukrainians working in Russia will not be affected by the sanctions, Medvedev promised.

Vladimir Putin imposed sanctions on Ukraine by signing on October 22 a decree introducing “special economic measures” against official Kyiv.
