Russian MP claims she saw ‘Ukrainian bombs’ in Donbas from space

Ukrainians’ dropping bombs on Donbas was seen from the space, Elena Serova, a former astronaut and currently a deputy of the Russian State Duma, stated during the session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

“The Ukrainian army is committing genocide on its own nation. This is not an unfounded accusation, there are hard facts. When being at the International Space Station I managed to see with the naked eye how bombs and missiles were exploding in the territory of Donbas and Luhansk. And they were flying from the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces And at that time, civilians – women, elderly people and children – were dying there,” she said.

Serova arrived at the ISS in September, 2014 and spent about 5 months there. In her opinion, the Ukrainian authorities are not interested in their people’s security, as they need a conflict to ‘harass Russia and stir up Russophobic sentiments while hiding their war crimes’.

Moreover, Russian MP Gennady Onishchenko also shared his thoughts with the members of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Luxembourg. He told the audience about the existence of a ‘military base equipped with biological weapons, which poses a huge threat’ in the territory of Georgia. In his opinion, similar activities take place ‘in Ukraine and other post-Soviet republics’.

Onishchenko, who was the country’s chief sanitary officer, gained notoriety for imposing bans on importing food products from countries with which Russia had issues on the spurious pretext of their not meeting sanitary regulations. For example, Georgian and Moldovan wine, Latvian and Belarusian milk, Ukrainian sweets came under his radar.
