Russia-Belarus cooperation has no match in post-Soviet countries - FM

Russia and Belarus cooperation is without peer in the former Soviet Union, Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makey said during a meeting with young and former diplomats of the both countries.

“Russia is the top priority of our foreign policy. It is our strategic partner and ally in the international arena. The level of interaction that we have achieved over the years, in my understanding, is unmatched in the post-Soviet space. We coordinate our efforts in the bilateral format and in the international organizations in a systemic and trust-based manner,”state-run news agency BelTA quotes the minister as saying.

In his opinion, the Union State does have a future, He called on the sides to strengthen the integration in the organization.

According to Makey, it is natural to have disputes from time to time. He says that the countries manage to solve conflicts with the help of an ‘open and sincere dialogue’.

As reported earlier, although another stage of tensions between Moscow and Minsk has been already history, Russia’s state-controlled TV station NTV keeps mocking at Alyaksandr Lukashenka and his younger son Kolya.
