Putin’s press secretary diagnosed with COVID-19


Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov came down with COVID-19. He has confirmed the fact of infection to Russian state-run media on Tuesday.

“Yes, I have fallen ill. I am receiving treatment,” he said when reached by news agency TASS.

According to the top official, he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin last over a month ago.

In late April, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Today, Russia has surpassed Spain and now it is second in the world in the number of officially confirmed coronavirus cases. According to the latest information, Russia’s COVID-19 infection rate has hit 232K. Over the last day, the number has risen by 10,899.
