Putin, Lukashenka instruct govts to develop integration measures by end of June


The leaders of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alyaksandr Lukashenka met in Nur Sultan to discuss the prospects of further integration within the Union State.

“They had the opportunity to talk in the corridors and discussed the progress of integration within the Union State. The leaders decided to instruct the Government to examine and verify the plans and measures of deepening integration within the Union State until 21 June. After that, if the government finish their part of the work included in the deal, the two presidents will join the process,” the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov was quoted by TASS.

The press secretary also answered the question if the approximate parameters of compensation for the consequences of Druzhba oil pipeline compensation were discussed.

“They did not discuss Druzhba, technical units are involved in it” said Dmitry Peskov.
