The Belarusian Health Ministry has updated information on the coronavirus situation in the country.
To date, Belarusian health professionals have registered 32,426 persons infected with the novel coronavirus. In the past 24 hours, 918 new cases have been confirmed.
11,415 patients who were diagnosed with COVID-19 have already recovered (+795). By the moment, nearly 388,000 tests for detecting the virus have been conducted in Belarus.
“For the entire period of the spread of the infection in the country, 179 patients who were previously tested positive for the coronavirus have died; they had chronic and co-existing illnesses,” the statement reads.
On May 19, the Belarusian authorities reported 175 coronavirus deaths in the republic; thus, another four persons have passed away within the last day.
