Not smoking, but learning. Lukashenka attends school assembly in Minsk

On the first day of the 2019/2020 academic year, Alyaksandr Lukashenka has visited new school No. 93 in Minsk.

He handed over a symbolic key to Aksana Tsymbalenka, Director of the new school.

“Today is a special day for us all, and especially for school students and their parents. A new academic year is kicking off today. This year is the first one in the history of the school we are opening today. Here everything happens for the first time: the first bell, the first lessons, the first acquaintance between students and teachers. This year will begin the record of many school years ahead. You will enter the history of this school as the first ones,” the presidential press service quotes Lukashenka.

“School is a temple. Obe should come here with pure intentions, i.e. striving for learning, but not smoking in the toilet and screwing around,he added.

On August 30, popular Belarusian blogger NEXTA reported that too many students were expected to attend the newly-built school. According to him, an extra school assembly was cancelled in the run-up to the visit so that overcrowding would not strike the eye of the head of state

On September 2, over a million Belarusian students got into a school season. 15-year-old Mikalai Lukashenka, the youngest son of the Belarusian leader, was among them.
