No case launched after man complains about Lukashenka's negligence

Alyaksandr Matveyeu, the son of a 68-year-old resident of Polatsk, who died of COVID-19 related pneumonia in Vitsebsk on April 2nd, was denied a criminal case launch, TUT.by writes.

Earlier, the man appealed to the police with a request to draw Alyaksandr Lukashenka to responsibility for “not being able to protect Belarusians from a dangerous infection”.

Official representative of Vitsebsk Regional Executive Committee, Volha Shkuratava, told the media outlet:

“The message, received from a citizen, has been reviewed. He was sent an answer to the specified address in France, where he lives”.

Matveyeu hasn’t received a letter from the police yet, but he has learned about the refusal from the policemen of Polatsk.

Lidziya Matveyeva, a 68-year-old resident of Polatsk, died on April 2nd in Vitsebsk regional clinical hospital. She had viral pneumonia and confirmed coronavirus. The woman’s son is sure that she contracted the virus in the hospital where she was admitted with another disease.
