The Health Ministry has published new data on the situation with COVID-19 in Belarus.
As of May 22, the total of 34,303 coronavirus cases have been confirmed by Belarusian health professionals. In the past 24 hours, the number of new infections has increased by 932.
“For the entire period of the spread of the infection in the country, 190 patients who were previously tested positive for the coronavirus have died; they had chronic and co-existing illnesses,” the statement reads.
To date, 12,833 patients who were diagnosed with COVID-19 have already recovered. By the moment, 419,004 tests for detecting the virus have been conducted in Belarus.
Over the last two weeks, COVID-19 infection rate has not dropped: 900-950 new cases have been recorded daily.
