Belarus FM discusses military interaction with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense
On September 20, 2016 during the visit to New York, Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makey participated in the opening ceremony of the general debate “Sustainable Development Goals: a Universal Push to Transform Our World” of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
On the margins of the United Nations General Assembly, Makey held a number of bilateral meetings.

The Belarusian official discussed with the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Michael Carpenter, the ways of establishing interaction between Belarus and the USA in the military sphere, as well as facilitating direct dialogue between the military agencies of the two countries in the situation of increasing tension in the Eastern European region.
