Uladzimir Shantsau, an activist of the United Civic party, posted a photo of the Soviet-time car carrying the number plate of the self-proclaimed Luhansk republic was posted on Facebook.
The photo was sent to him by an acquaintance who saw the car in Pionerskaya street in the Belarusian city of Mahiliou.
“Here is a Zhiguli with a number plate of a non-existent country (Luhansk) driving about Mahiliou. I wonder why and how border guards let him into the country,” he said.
