Kremlin press service shows Belarus KGB chairman bowing head to Putin

At the recent meeting of the national security services of the CIS countries the Belarusian delegation was headed by KGB chairman Valery Vakulchyk.

The event took place in Moscow on December 19. The photo of Vakulchyk’s bowing to Putin when the latter greeted the heads of security agencies was made public by the Kremlin press service.

Unlike his colleagues from other countries, Belarus’ KGB Chairman not only shook hands with Putin, but bowed his head at the same time, which is not provided by the protocol, Arsen Sivitski and Yury Tsaryk, analysts of the Center for Strategic and Foreign Policy Studies, stress.

“A photographer took Vakulchyk when his posture was demontrating a slightly increased reverence before Putin. But one should not draw any hasty conclusions from that. At least one of the photos indicates that there was high-speed shooting and that the shot in question was publushed on purpose,” Tsaryk said.
