Alyaksandr Lukashenka shed a tear during his youngest son’s performance at a recent awarding ceremony.
On January 9, the Belarusian leader granted For Spiritual Revival awards. Singer Yuliya Bykava who became one of the laureates performed the song A Nook Of Belarus. Interestingly, the music was provided by Mikalai (Kolya for short) Lukashenka and his music teacher Alena Astashkina-Mysliuchyk.
ONT cameramen caught Alyaksandr Lukashenka taking out a handkerchief and wiping tears away.
It is not the fisrt time that Mikalai has played the piano in public. Last July he performed a piece written by Belarusian composer Valery Ivanou together with his music teacher, cymbalist Vera Shetsko and accordionist Alyaksandr Shuvalau in the Belarusian village of Aleksandryia.
In February 2018, Kiril Rudy, Ambassador of Belarus to China, posted a video of the Belarusian leader’s youngest son extending congratulations on the occasion of the Spring Festival. Kolya Lukashenka read out a prepared text in the Chinese language and played the piano. The diplomat called him the ‘most famous Belarusian teenager in China’.
