Friends? Well-known Belarusian musician spotted in supporting Donbas separatists

Over the recent five years, Sergei Gerasimov, a soloist of the famous Belarusian musical band Syabry (Friends), has repeatedly performed in Luhansk, Alchevsk and Kirovsk, the separatist-controlled cities of Ukraine, OSINT group InformNapalm reports.

On May 8, the Ukrainian NGO Myrotvorets (Peacemaker) added Gerasimov to one of its databases for ‘violation of the state border of Ukraine in order to infiltrate into the Ukrainian territory occupied by Russian terrorist gangs’ and ‘conscious participation in the anti-Ukrainian propaganda activities’.

Sergei Gerasimov has been giving concert tours in Donbas since 2014. In 2015, he sang for the militants of the Ghost unit in Alchevsk. The musician arranges such trips together with the Russian actor Sergei Makhovikov, who, according to Myrotvorets, provides financial aid to Donbas separatists..
