‘Euro-Atlantic region and Eurasia’. Lukashenka dreams of Minsk as dialogue venue

Belarus may develop cooperation with all international partners, president Alyaksandr Lukashenka said when receiving credentials from foreign ambassadors on Monday.

“Our country is ready for cooperation with West and East, North and South, when it is built on the principles of respect, honesty and integrity. Given our geostrategic position, we, like no one else, want peace, stability, conflict-free and effective partnership. Only through equal dialogue one busts stereotypes and destroys the walls of misunderstanding built on their foundation,” Lukashenka stressed.

In his opinion, Belarus has already gained a reputation of one of the initiators and active participants in the integration processes in the Eurasian space.

“I am deeply convinced that Minsk can become a place for a new large-scale dialogue on the security of the states in the Euro-Atlantic region and Eurasia. We will initiate even more peaceful and uniting cooperation projects. Of course, we will support all good initiatives from your side,” state-run news agency BelTA quotes Alyaksandr Lukashenka as saying.

Diplomats from Armenia, Austria, Bahrain, Vietnam, Ghana, Canada, Tunisia, Montenegro, Czech Republic, El Salvador presented their letters of credence to the Belarusian leader.
