Donbas: 16 attacks on Ukrainian positions

Donbas separatists launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day. Two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded.

“The enemy continued to use weapons banned under the Minsk agreements. In particular, militants fired 82mm mortars on JFO positions near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Vodiane (19km north-east of Mariupol),” news agency Ukrinform quotes of the JFO Headquarters press centre.

According to Ukraine’s intelligence, eight militants were killed and three were wounded on December 16.

On Monday, the military of the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk republics have shelled Ukrainian positions near Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol).
