The news came from the chairman of the Belarusian society of the annexed peninsula.

The book “Belarusians. World Series” was presented last week in Crimea. According to “The Crimean Newspaper”, the book is dedicated both “to historical figures of Belarusian origin who were on the peninsula, and contemporaries.”

During the presentation, the chairman of the Belarusian society of Crimea Raman Chahrinets spoke about the plans of the diaspora.

“We would like to have both our Belarusian newspaper and the television editorial office — it is needed, because the Belarusian community is the fourth largest in the Crimea, and it deserves for the public to see it and know about its activities,” he said.

Last year, Raman Chahrinets proposed to create a portal “Belarus-Crimea”, which would show “real life in Crimea” to Belarusians and would bring Crimean tourists to Belarus.
