Cost of Schengen visas for Belarusians rises to 80 euros

Since February 2, 2020, residents of countries that had not signed an agreement with the European Union on visa regime facilitation have had to pay not € 60, but € 80 for Schengen visas.

The decision of the Council of the European Union on changes to the Visa Code came into force on February 2. Therefore, Belarusians have now to pay €80 for a Schengen visa. Russia has an agreement with the EU on visa facilitation, while Ukrainians do not need a visa to visit the European Union.

On January 8, Belarus and the European Union signed an agreement on visa facilitation and readmission. But the agreement will come into force in June 2020.
