China leases 1.5 hectares of Minsk land for embassy premises

PRC diplomatic mission premises will be built near the Independence Palace, next to the embassies of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.

An entire complex of buildings will be built along the Peramozhtsau Avenue on an area of one and a half hectares. The land plot has been leased for $1 a year for 70 years – until the autumn of 2088, TUT.BY reports.

In 2010, the parties agreed on long-term land plot lease for the construction of embassies. Belarus has received a land plot of about 0.5 hectares in Beijing, on which the embassy building has already been built, and China – a land plot of 1.5 hectares in Minsk.
