Breaking bad: Russians set up biggest-ever drug lab in Belarus


Three citizens of Russia equipped an illegal drug laboratory near Minsk and focused on the production of psychotropic substances (alpha-PVP and alpha-PHP).

The location of the laboratory was established due to the joint actions by the Belarusian Border Service, the KGB and Russia’s FSB; three suspects being detained.

“Laboratory facilities, 30 kg of white powder and 750 litres of different liquids have been found and seized. According to our expert, the samples are particularly dangerous substances alpha-PVP and alpha-PHP, as well as methylpropiophenone-4 precursors,” the State Border Committee press service reports.

The three men took precursors and equipment from Russia. Now they may face face up to 20 years in prison for running a drug lab.
