The first unit of BelNPP will be operational by the end of next year. State Corporation Rosatom has confirmed plans to launch the nuclear power plant near Astravets.
During the meeting of Prime Minister of Belarus Syarhey Rumas and the Director General of Rosatom, Alexei Likhachev, the officials agreed that the industrial operation of the first unit of BelNPP will be completed on time. At least this is facilitated by the experience that Rosatom receives at Leningrad NPP, BelTA reports.
The Russian side believes that the construction of the power plant in Belarus is carried out in accordance with all standards and international norms. The first delivery of fuel to the Hrodna region is planned for the end of 2018.
