Belarusians evacuated from Wuhan quarantined in Kazakhstan


Belarusian citizens evacuated from the Chinese city of Wuhan, which was closed for quarantine due to the outbreak of coronavirus, were taken to Kazakhstan, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Health reports.

On February 2, five Belarusian citizens were evacuated from China. They were taken to Kazakhstan. The condition of Belarusians is satisfactory, said the Ministry of Health.

All the evacuees are in the infectious disease unit at the general hospital of the capital, located 7 km from Nur-Sultan. They will stay at the clinic until quarantine is lifted.

All Belarusians will be tested for the coronavirus infection. It is planned that on February 4, a hotline will be opened, where relatives can learn about the health of their loved ones.

Belarusian citizens, who live in China and want to return home, can apply for help to the Belarusian embassy by phone +86 155 1061 8510.

Belarusian Ministry of Health will hold additional talks with colleagues from Kazakhstan to resolve the issue of transporting Belarusian citizens to their homeland. It has been agreed that the Belarusians will be evacuated with the assistance of the Belarusian embassy in China by airlines of Kazakhstan and Russia.
