Belarusians buy less food, spend more on utilities

According to the Belstat report, Belarusians are now spending more on utilities, and significantly less on food products.

At the beginning of this year, expenditures on goods accounted for about 40.8% in the overall structure of the personal budget distribution. According to the results of the third quarter, the Belarusians began to spend 37.4% of their income on food.

At the same time, the population is now soending more on services. While last year Belarusians spent on that 23.9% of their money, in the third quarter of this year this figure rose to 25.2%. In particular, Belarusians spent on communal services 0.5 % more this year, and for medical services — 0.4% more.
