In July, Belarusian refineries will purchase 1.58 million tons of oil from Russian companies, Interfax-Zapad reports.

According to Alyaksandr Tsishchanka, press secretary of the Belneftekhim Concern, 1.495 million tons will be supplied through the system of trunk oil pipelines and 85 thousand tons – by rail.

The rest of the needs will be covered through tanker deliveries. Now we are working on the volumes and suppliers.

In late 2019, Minsk was unable to conclude oil contracts with major Russian suppliers. It was only possible to reach an agreement with the Russians in April against the background of the global drop in oil prices.

Oil products are one of the main sources of Belarusian exports.
