The International Tactical Shooting Championship named after Akhmat Kadyrov took place at the Russian Special Forces University in Gudermes. The event was attended by more than 350 commandos from Belarus, China, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Russian regions (Trans-Baikal, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, Ryazan) as well as Crimea.

The judges evaluated the participants’ accuracy in shooting, their strategic and tactical skills, physical and mental endurance, their abilities to cover distances, steeplechase, escalade, drive a Chaborz buggy.

Interestingly, the Belarusian Interior Ministry failed to publish the news about the performance in Chechnya on the official website.

Many Russians posted congratulations on the victory to ‘Belarusian brothers’ on social media.

The Special Forces University is the first and the only private institution in Russia that trains special forces soldiers. It was founded on August 1, 2013 at the initiative of Chechnya’s strongman Ramzan Kadyrov; its aim is ‘transferring knowledge and experience’ in the field of combatting international terrorism.
