“This is a technical aspect, because earlier the period of funds’ availability ended on March 31, but the tranche was not provided before that date,” the department representative said, BelTA informs.
On March 29, the Minister of Finance of Belarus, Maksim Yermalovich, reported that Belarus did fulfill the conditions necessary for the release of the last tranche. At the same time, the possibility of loan availability period for Minsk would not be prolonged for political reasons.
On April 1, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced that Belarus could receive the seventh tranche by the end of the month.
Initially, all tranches of the loan were to be received before the end of 2018, but Belarus did not fulfill the conditions for their allocation in time.
