A new piece of street art has appeared in Minsk.

Unknown individuals put a teletubbie image of minister Liliya Ananich on the wall not far the Institute of Journalism. Comparing her to teletubbie Tinky Winky, i.e. not the smartest and brightest creature, the authors might be hinting at the fact that the top official is totally dependent on her boss and will fulfil any order of him.

‘It is me who tries to axe media outlets that provide you with news,’ the picture says.

Unknown artists have repeatedly expressed their outrage about the domestic policy of the Belarusian authorities. The Belarusian information minister gained notoriety for blaming independent media of ‘biased’ journalism and her attempts to derail reporters’ work with the help of corresponding laws and decrees.
